ABOUT ME

Welcome to my photography portfolio! I am Tay Jun Pin, Singaporean-based events and portraits photographer. In school, I worked for the publication and publicity teams of Saraca Hall and Nanyang Technological University Welfare Services Club – Regular Service project for the intellectually disabled. Outside school, I have covered private event shoots for many clients. I have also worked with the National Museum of Singapore for an events photography shoot. I mostly do event photography to cover critical events dear to my clients. Outside of events photography, I have experience in portraiture, street, wildlife and sports photography, and some videography work.

I picked up my love of photography from my dad and learnt photography on the Praktica camera system. Because of that, I still enjoy shooting with manual focus vintage lenses even after transitioning away from film into the digital mirrorless Sony system. I found the unique look provided by the vintage Helios, Carl Zeiss Jena, and Pentacon lenses cannot be replicated by modern glass. Of course, for events where autofocus is required, I mainly shoot with my trusty Sony A9, the nifty Samyang 35 f2.8, the legendary Sony Zeiss 55mm f1.8, and the workhorse Sony 70-200mm G OSS f4. Additionally, I am well acquainted with flash photography and have many tools to control the lighting to give you the best photos. These tools allow me to shoot in most environments, regardless of low light or fast action conditions. I currently offer these photography services:

  • Portrait Photography (Graduation, Corporate, Couples, Family, Aesthetics)

  • Events Photography (Birthday, Organizational, Documentative, Corporate)

I currently charge a flat rate of $50 an hour with an additional post-processing charge (the charge depends on the scale of the event).
